The popularity of colonics follows the acceptance and obscurance of scientific (or that which passes as scientific) paradigms, as well as coincides with the repeated resurgence of American fundamentalism. The former is usually reintroduced by a sole practition who extrapolates great benefits from colon health. There are always enthusiasts and naysayers. Still, entire movements gain momentum, and John Kellogg, one of teh founders of the American breakfast cereal ritual, was one such supporter. His membership with the Seventh-Day Adventists, whose dietary maxims persist to this day, forged waif stools into pillars of belief.

The mechanism is entirely intentioned; each component mimicking a biological phenomenon: valves acts as sphincters; tubes make intestines; knobs regulate pressure against the perstalic tension; the bowl a gut of breakfast coffee. The body's internal is externalized and reversed to clean the fowl.The polished chrome, in it's shimmering reflectivity, aspires tothe unfelt and nonexistent, once lubricated is able to stealthily invade with only the slightest cool touch.
